Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, Dynasty 25 to 30, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. Rough exposed raw wood mask with pleasing facial features, flat back with residual dowels still remaining, minute traces of gesso on surface. Size: 10" H (25.4 cm)
Provenance: Ex-Horatio & Patsy Melas collection, acquired before 1967 in Alexandria, Egypt.
