- The First Map and Description of Ohio 1787 by Manesseh Cutler. A Biographical Account with reprint of the "Explanation." 41 pp. 1918.
Together, 3 volumes. Each with a folding facsimile map. (large 4to) 31.5x24 cm (12½x9½"), gilt-lettered cloth.
Scholarly works with excellent facsimiles of rare and important maps. Phillips was the first Superintendent of Maps at the Library of Congress when the Hall of Maps and Charts was established in 1897. Each of the volumes is quite scarce.
Condition
First volume with wear to extremities; very good or better condition.
