AMERICAN OR BRITISH SILK-EMBROIDERED NEEDLEWORK PICTURE, depicting a boy and elderly couple before a fountain in a park setting, printed hands and faces, applied brass button devices to costumes, and additional metallic thread embellishment. Housed under glass in an old molded gilt wood frame. Late 18th/early 19th century. 19" x 18" sight, 24" x 25 1/2" OA.
Overall minor toning, fading, and areas of discoloration, breaks to silk ground upper right quadrant. Frame and matte with wear and discoloration. Not examined out of frame.
