A Vintage, probably Antique BRONZE SCULPTURE on a Marble Base of a BOY running and carrying a Bird, maybe a Chicken or a Goose? not sure of what kind of bird it is. He seems to have stolen the bird, and to be running because he is chased after.
The marble is slightly greenish gray with some more yellowish areas.
The whole piece is rather heavy.
Condition: The bronze is showing some Verdigris, I personally love it, but if you want it clean and shiny, it will need to be cleaned with an appropriate product for bronze (or for copper and brass, which are from the same metal family as bronze). The boy can move (turn) slightly from the base, but can't be removed from the base. On the marble base, I see a very thin fissure, difficult to show on photos. And a teeny tiny bit of marble is missing at the very bottom edge: too small to show on photos as well. Overall great vintage or antique condition.
