Comments - Handsome view of one of the entrance gates to the Imperial Palace in Tokyo. At lower left, samurai accompany a nobleman on horseback as they proceed along the edge of the moat, a man in Western dress approaching from the opposite direction. In front of the gate, a rickshaw driver stops to chat with a man. An interesting subject.
