Description
Thailand, Ayutthaya period, ca. 14th to 18th century CE. This is a cast bronze head of a Buddha in his princely phase, prior to his enlightenment, when he wears a crown and his ears are stretched long by the weight of heavy earrings. The face has a peaceful expression with large, lowered, almost closed eyes. Size: 1.35" W x 1.85" H (3.4 cm x 4.7 cm)
