Description
A fine Japanese cloisonne enamel vase attributed to Hayashi Kodenji. Meji Era. Circa 1900. Unsigned. Of baluster form, decorated with a flowering tree with sparrows perched. Teo flying sparrows on the reverse. Worked in polychrome enamels on a black ground, with geometric designs at the foot, and a lappet neck also decorated with geometrics. Possibly executed with silver wire. Attributed to Hayashi Kodenji on basis of decoration, workmanship, and form.

Condition
Good overall condition with no restoration. Light scratches or lines to an area at the shoulder on the back side (see photos). No other issues.
