DESCRIPTION: An excellent 7.5 inch tall early Meiji era Japanese cloisonne vase attributed to Namikawa Yasuyuki. It features a flower and leaf pattern in white, blue and green against a highly reflective ginbari orange background. This color is also used in the bottom border triangle patterns. Bottom third is a scroll pattern in red against a mirror black background. Very similar in color, style, and construction to known Yasuyuki early works especially those in the V&A collection.
