Pair of Chinese Semi-Precious Stone inlaid Zitan containers. Of rectangular body with covered container, rounded corners and grooved edges. Cover adorned with colorful semi-precious-stone inlaid depicted a white peacock within various flower blooms foliate. The side densely carved with taotie mask motif. The wood show blackish-purple in color, smooth and dense with fine feathery grain.
