Chinese YenYen vase, phoenix tail shaped vessel, from a baluster body, bulbous shoulder to tall prominent neck, with widely flaring trumpet neck, resembling a phoenix tail, and raised on slightly splayed foot base. Painted in tones of rich underglaze cobalt-blue portraying of phoenix flying amidst flames and clouds, between dentil borders at the foot and mouth rim. Underglaze blue are stable with subtle shades. The Lines of the drawings are clear; the light and dark shades are subtle. It is dense but not too crowded.
