A large 17th c. Dutch Kas, canted corners, rosewood veneers over oak and pine with ebonized ripple moldings, columns with carved putti and rosettes capitals, other heavily carved ebonized moldings, central lion etc., hidden keyhole. NOTE: this example similar to, but far more ornate, than a ca. 1650 example in the collection of the Brooklyn Museum. Property Title: From an historic South Street Litchfield home. (TC).
