Ebonized Rosewood Rectangular Games Table, with burlwood inlaid top, legs and base, hinged swivel top with applied bullnose edge, folds open to a green tooled leather surface, open storage compartment below. Has a frieze with gilded and pierced bronze mounts inset with floral painted Paris porcelain plaquettes, set on turned and reeded legs, with base comprised of inlaid arched end frames with flared feet and double turned stretchers. The piece is impressed 'Herter Bro's N.Y.' to underside top between legs, 30 1/4" high, 35 3/4" x 17 1/2". Edge veneer losses, top shrinkage cracks, top slightly warped, top edge separation, missing one side and corner frieze base molding.
