Pre-Columbian, Mayan Territories, probably Guatemala, ca. 550 to 900 CE. Pair of pottery "poison" jars, so called because they were often found containing cinnabar - a quite poisonous form of Mercury. Each in similar form with short necks and slightly flared rims. Size of largest: 3.15" H (8 cm)
Provenance: Ex- Private Florida collection acquired around 1980.
