Description
Shaped marble top with projecting corners over conforming mahogany case with serpentine sides, frieze with applied scrolling guilloche, over a pair of doors opening to reveal shelved interior, further flanked by doors all featuring gilt rosettes and shaped gilt-metal mounted reserves of a diaper pattern of inlaid fruitwood, sides of conforming design within gilt bronze frame, canted stiles with gilt Bacchanalia herms upon chutes, above the shaped apron with rocaille, flowers, C-scrolls and acanthus mounts, the whole raised on square tapering legs terminating in gilt bronze hairy paw feet. Fitted with circular laurel pulls. Measures 35 x 73 x 23 inches. Provenance: The Joseph Candioto Trust. We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.
Condition
Three panels have been removed from the back so that the piece could be used as a bar. Otherwise good without damage, repair or other alterations.
