A 19THC EMPIRE MAHOGANY & GILT BRONZE BUREAU A CYLINDRE

Item Details

Description

An Empire-style mahogany and gilt bronze-dore mounted Bureau a Cylindre. The rectangular top above cylinder with gilt-bronze crown of laurel mount flanked by palmettes opening to reveal a long pullout black leather writing surface and fitted with an arrangement of a long filing niche over three short drawers, all raised on four tapering cylindrical legs with gilt collars and end caps. Measures 43 x 53 inches.
Provenance: The Joseph Candioto Trust. We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.

Condition

Minor surface scratches, rubs, bumps and small wear, moderate to light effects of age and use. Some age separations in the wood.
