Fascinating fossil from a bygone era with high scientific value
The primitive fish are the so called agnathans and first appeared before c. 510 million years ago on the upper Cambrian. Their ancestors are unknown and the assignment of agnathans to fish is controversial, which is why these primitive creatures are often referred to only as ‘fishy’.
Condition:The fossil is in good, age related condition. some retored cracks, part of the head is added, It measures c. 60 cm in length. The limestone with restored breakages. The stone slab measures 29 x 65.5 cm. (lvp)
