Description
Western Europe, France, Spain or Italy, ca. 17th to 18th century CE. Very finely carved figure of Jesus as a captive. Wearing a small cloth wrapped around his waist and long blue cloak, his hands are bound and he looks dejectedly downward. A very sensitive carving! Size: 9-5/8" H (24.4 cm).
