AMERICAN SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) FOLK ART SPENCERIAN CALLIGRAPHIC DRAWING OF GENERAL ANDREW JACKSON, ink on paper, profile view of Jackson on horseback dressed in full military uniform, inscribed "Struck with a metallic pen" and signed indistinctly lower right. Archival mounted in an early 19th century molded giltwood frame. Third quarter 19th century. 22 3/8" x 17" sight, 26 1/4" x 21" OA.
Good condition overall with light toning and foxing, creases, some edge wear and tears, particularly at upper and lower edge. Not examined out of frame. Surface wear and losses to frame.
