Helen McKie (1889-1957) Waterloo Station 1848 1948 A Centenary of uninterrupted service during peace and war, original lithograph from the SR poster Ad 5416 1947 - 80 x 121 cm in original SR dark stained frame Provenance: Southern Railway General Manager's Office where it had hung from 1948, then acquired in the 1980's by the vendor Ernest Suddell an SR employee directly from the sales of surplus furnishings being made by the British Railways. He had worked from the age of 14 until his retirement in 1993, having being a Barnado's boy the Southern Railway had a policy of taking on young people and giving them a career in the railway.
Condition
Grade A the lithograph print is loose in the frame, the poster title is missing
