A Russian gilded silver and shaded cloisonné enamel serving spoon, Vasily Agafonov, Moscow, circa 1908-1907. The back of the ovoid bowl enameled with a mythical bird with splendid feathers perched atop a stylized polychrome tulip, all against a mottled cream ground within a border of opaque white beads, the twist handle with enameled mitre finial. Length 8 in. (20.5 cm)
