Description
An early 20th century diamond necklace. The old-cut diamond collet and rose-cut diamond chevron, with similarly-set drop, suspended from a later belcher-link chain. Principal diamond estimated total weight 0.65ct, I-J colour, SI clarity. Length of pendant 3.6cms. Length of chain 40cms. Weight 6.9gms. With fitted case.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Possible replacement diamonds. Later chain and clasp. Small chip/surface reaching inclusion visible to both principal diamonds with magnification. Diamonds well matched. Diamonds bright. Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
