Pre-Columbian, Central America, Costa Rica, ca. 600 to 900 CE. A ceramic incensario of a fabulous form, resembling a large, globular, round bottomed olla with a petite animorphic head on one side, remains of hand painted black detailing on the shoulder, and numerous circular perforations. Size: 8.75" W x 8" H (22.2 cm x 20.3 cm)
Provenance: Ex-private Olan collection, California, by family descent, acquired 1960 to 1970.
