Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, ca. 200 BCE to 200 CE. A wonderful pair of bichrome potteries from this ancient culture of West Mexico, including a figural vessel with coffee bean eyes, pronounced nose, and open mouth and a tripod bowl. Both are adorned with painted geometrics in white and red. Size of bowl: 6.25" W x 2.6" H (15.9 cm x 6.6 cm)
Provenance: Ex-private Olan collection, California, by family descent, acquired 1960 to 1970.
