Late 19th century. Canopy top, hand painted. Probably one of the earliest French wind up toys. Includes four contemporary figures, a driver and three passengers. Front headlight. Does have some paint chipping and wear, wear to wheels and darkening to the cloth of the canopy. Could possibly be the only known example. Featured in Antique Toy World Article. October 2010 - Page 49 Condition (Very Good). Size 12" L.
