1823-Dated Partially-Printed Virginia Tax Receipt, listing “Slaves” Choice Very Fine.
1823-Dated, Partially-Printed Receipt form shows that Eve Mariah Dollman paid the tax on 1 horse in the amount of 12¢. The line for tax on “Slaves” has been left blank, so it would appear that she did not pay taxes on Slaves, at least with this receipt, measures 3 7/8 x 6 5/8" in size, very clean and nice for display.
