Bert Miripolsky translates his bold approach to abstraction to the medium of handmade looped tapestry using a cheerful mid-century palette.The tapestry is signed in the bottom left corner. The perimeter of the back has a linen liner and features plastic hooks near the top for hanging.Listed American artist Miripolsky studied painting at the Chicago Art Institute in the early 1940s and has exhibited throughout the world since 1945. His work portrays personal emotional experiences expressed through color and form reminiscent of works by Wassily Kandinsky, Franz Kline, and Mark Rothko.
