Three Bronze Cylindrical Tripod Censers The first depicting seven deer in a pine forest, the base bearing an apocryphal Xuande four-character mark; the second is decorated with the Eight Linear Trigrams of The Yi Jing (Classic of Changes) in silver wire inlay; the third featuring four fan-shaped two-character panels on a diaper ground. Qing Dynasty Widest: 4 1/16 inches (10.4 cm) Provenance:Private Minneapolis, Minnesota Estate, and thence by descent within the family to the current owner. [Overall wear, the third censer has been heavily polished, minor dents]
