PRESSED HEXAGONAL AND CIRCULAR CANDLESTICK, deep peacock green/teal, urn-form socket with two steps below the rim and a double-knop extension, raised on a hexagonal baluster-form standard stepped to a circular panel-top base, wafer construction. Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. and Patrick F. Slane's American Glass Co., South Boston, MA. 1840-1860. 6 3/4" H, 3 3/4" D base.

Catalogue Note: An extremely rare socket and base combination. Barlow and Kaiser noted that the example offered here was previously unrecorded and considered unique in regard to both color and form. We have not seen another example in this color.
