Description
A fine Zapotec Urn from Mexico, ca. 300-600 A.D. An urn in the shape of a Bat wearing a loin cloth and necklace with central pendant with incised motif. Excellent example with good mineral deposits on the surface attesting to its age. For a similar example see: Pre-columbian Art: The Morton D. May and The Sant Louis Art Museum Collections by Lee A. Parsons.
8-5/8" in height.
