Far East, Japan, ca. 1960s CE. A vintage framed exhibit tracing the life cycle growth of the cultured pearl from one month to five years old, including five pearls (pink, black, silver, cream, and Baroque) with pearled oyster shells in various stages of growth. The display includes bilingual labels. A wonderful collectible piece! Mounted in a wood frame painted pale blue with a glass cover. Quite a novelty! Size: frame measures 12.75" L x 10.5" H (32.4 cm x 26.7 cm)

Condition
Three lower shells show some cracks, but all there and pearls appear to be in excellent condition. Frame intact with minor nicks and scratches.
