Description
China, Warring States Period, 475 to 221 BCE. This is a ge (dagger-axe) blade. The ge was an early pole weapon, with a dagger-shaped blade mounted by its tang to a perpendicular wooden shaft. This ge was made during a time of great flux in Chinese society, when kingdoms and warlords traded land constantly. Size: 9" W x 5.5" H (22.9 cm x 14 cm)
