A fine Chinese six-panel folding floor screen. Black lacquer screen with gilt detailing front and back. The front side having 24 cloisonne enamel plaques. The plaques of four different shapes, each have a unique motif. No two plaques with the same motif. Surrounded by gilt incised floral and scroll designs. The reverse side with painted gilt decoration. The hinged panels each measure 77" high, 15.75" wide. Length when fully open, 98" (8--2"). The last two photos show an example of the reverse sides.
