A LIMITED EDITION GEORGE II STYLE GILT BRASS MOUNTED MAHOGANY BRACKET CLOCK, BY THWAITES & REED, SIGNED, NUMBERED 0203, 20TH CENTURY, the rectangular case with a shaped handle on a flat topped cushion carved cornice and molded trim, above a hinged and glazed door having foliate cast mounts, opening to a gilt Florentine finished dial plate centering corner seraphim spandrels and a silvered chapter ring, enclosing black Roman hour chapters alternating fleur de ly half hour marks and Arabic minute numerals, encircling engraved "Thwaites & Reed / England," above reticulated blued steel trefoil hands and black painted "MADE IN ENGLAND," on a molded plinth raised on a conforming flat panel base and compressed bun feet. reversing to a red fabric lined gilt metal grill paneled door, opening to a shaped triangular brass backplate with slow/fast switch above engraved "Thwaites & Reed" and numbered 0203, over a polished metal domed bell with block form strike and interior floor with engraved brass plaque, "THWAITES AND REED / LIMITED EDITION / NO. 0203."
