Description
A ROYAL COPENHAGEN POLYCHROME PAINTED PORCELAIN FIGURAL GROUP, BLUE AND GREEN MARKS, 20TH CENTURY, "Squirrels," no. 416, originally designed by Christian Thomsen (Danish 1860-1921), featuring two brown squirrels standing with tails erect, one holding a nut with both hands with it's head turned slightly to the left smelling the nose of the other squirrel, on a circular white pierced and scalloped base reversing to an underside with green maker's mark surmounting blue triple wave and painter's uppercase "OR" initials over green "416." Height: 6 1/2" Width: 6 3/4" Depth: 6 1/2" Provenance: Estate of the Late James K. Schooler, Esq.

The fine porcelain Royal Copenhagen piece in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Clearly and correctly marked.
