From the Duke Ellington Collection, assorted documents pertaining to Duke Ellington's second Sacred Concert. Lot includes a copy of the certificate of incorporation for the Foundation for the promotion of Duke Ellington's Sacred Concert, correspondences addressed to Ruth Ellington regarding this incorporation, a set list for an opera based on the Sacred Concert titled "Praise God and Dance" on original Tempo Music Inc. stationery, a letter regarding the video release of footage from the Sacred Concerts, many of which are covered in handwritten notes and revisions. Lot also includes two press packets promoting the event, and one poster for the third Sacred Concert.

Set list has some minor soil marks and some creases on lower right corner. Correspondence dated July 19, 1979 has paperclip rust residue. Correspondence from Saint Peter's Lutheran Church has 5" crease upper right corner on both pages and small tear at bottom of crease. Press Release has 1/2" tear at top near right side. Correspondence from MGM has some soil marks.
