American, 20th century. A collection of forty-seven film stills and four framed photographs from the filming of the Academy Award winning film Gone With the Wind (1939) after Margaret Mitchell's (American (Georgia), 1900-1949) Pulitzer Prize winning novel of the same title (1936). Group comprising a framed black and white photograph of Clark Gable (American, 1901-1960) and Vivien Leigh (English, 1913-1967) as Rhett Butler and Scarlett O'Hara in their bedroom; a framed black and white photograph of Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh As Rhett and Scarlett embracing; a framed black and white photo of a post-battle Atlanta scene; a framed black and white photograph of a carriage ride in Atlanta; and forty-seven sleeved film stills from filming. Four framed film stills approximately 8' x 10".
