Peters married Mary L. Walker at his father's home at 179 Madison Avenue on April 14, 1894, and Mrs. Peters continued her pursuit of artistic and cultural collaboration for the remainder of her life having well noted donations to the Met and sales of her private collection at Sotheby's and The Anderson Galleries.
