Description
Russian Steppes, ca. 5th to 4th century BCE. A wonderfully expressive bronze belt buckle depicting mirror images of a running deer. In a quintessentially Scythian manner, note the graceful, fluid motion of the deer, legs folded under the running body. A fine example! Custom stand. Size: 1.875" L x 1.5" H (4.8 cm x 3.8 cm); 2.5" H (6.4 cm) on stand
