Early 19th century. Empire period, carved and giltwood animal sculpture in the form of a feathered swan with rounded neck, puffed chest, spread wings and dangling feet in front of tucked tail feathers. Unmarked. Back with wire for hanging on wall for display. Overall approximate height 14.4", width 24.4", depth 8.5". Provenance: From the Estate of Dr. Woody Cobbs and Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia.
