Footnote:
This mirror was likely originally fitted with a convex plate. The manufacturing of glass plates had markedly advanced in England between 1773 and 1795 making possible the production of large scale glass panels and mirror plates of various forms.

Condition
Impressive scale. Regilt. General marks, scratches, rubbing, cracking and wear in areas overall. Red blue and white gesso evident in areas. Replacements to ebonized molding. Plate later.
