A Chinese Carved and Lacquered Box. Bearing a scallop form edge, a courtyard scene to the lid, and a six-character mark to the underside 3.25" x 12.5"

There is a dust buildup as well as spots of white residue scattered throughout the exterior of the box. The lacquered areas within the interior of the box as well as to the underside of the box sustain craquelure. The interior edges of both the lid and body sustain various scuffs and chips. The wood on the interior of the box also appears to be slightly warped. There are approximately three lines of red pigment to the ground on the interior of the body. The edge of the underside sustains various scuffs and chips from use.
