Description

Original with alligatoring to the varnish. Butt cap is marked "The/H.L. Leonard/Rod/H.L. Leonard Rod Co/ Makers" with the additional "Reg US Pat Off" beneath the shield. The pocket for the reel foot bears the original owner's initials "F.B.D.". Reel seat is all metal mills patent locking type. Permanent fighting butt measure 7 inches including rubber button. All sections are full length, patent date butt ferrule, original high hat ferrule plugs for both butt and mid ferrules, original canvas bag and brass capped aluminum tip tube with cloth tip bag.
