Item Details
Description
Listed as a NYC Manufacturer of tackle in the 1840's and 50's George Karr, although little known, clearly produced tackle of superior quality. This is one of only a handful of known early solid German silver ball handled multipliers marked "Karr Maker" on the face plate. This 3 3/8" diameter, 1 7/8" wide reel comes with a face mounted Kentucky style drag switch and sliding oil caps. There is some foot alteration, a replacement screw at the foot mount and bowing of the handle but otherwise this is an outstanding reel.
