Description
African continent, ca. 19th century CE. A hand-carved and painted wooden figurine depicting a tall standing European man dressed in refinery - a coat, vest, tie, and top hat - posed with his right hand across his chest as if making an oratory proclamation. An intriguing piece given the history of European colonization of Africa. Size: 4.5" W x 14.5" H (11.4 cm x 36.8 cm)
