ARTIFACT: This is a circa early 20th century United States Army Engineer Officer desk emblem. This fabulous 3-D engineer insignia The castle-shaped emblem was made completely by hand and is done in mahogany: it may have been made in the Philippines during the Spanish War. The two doors and tall rectangular windows are inlaid in reddish pieces and there a several other details, such as a front and rear staircase and deep carvings to the top of the turrets. The emblem also has a rounded slot in which to hold a pen.

VINTAGE: Circa early 20th century.

SIZE: Approximately 9-1/2 in width and 5-1/4 in height and 4-1/2 in depth.

CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Mahogany wood.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The emblem has only light wear a few of the protrusions on the round turrets are missing.
