Description
Made in Phoenicia, found in Cyprus, Cyprus- 1000 to 700 BC. Pilgrim New Years flask in Phoenician Monochrome Ware. Rounded body, long cylindrical neck flaring to a flaring funnel-shaped rim which is slightly inverted with a sharp inside edge 2 opposing vertical handles, ovoid in section, from mid-neck to shoulder. 6.0 inches tall and 4.5 inches diameter. Provenance: Ex- John Hibner, acquired in Turkey during military service 1960's.
