Description
Bronze Mantel Clock, 19th c., by Japy Freres, with an urn surmount over a drum clock, time and strike, with porcelain chapter marks, flanked by relief mask and fruit supports, to a stepped sloping base on cabriole legs, H.- 15 1/4 in., W.- 10 1/2 in., D.- 6 5/8 in.
Condition
Condition consistent with age. Whitish residue is noted throughout the crevices. The urn surmount is slightly loose but secure. An uneven patina is seen on the back with scattered reddish residue. A flea-size chip is observed to the glass in the back door. A classic example.
