MEISSEN PORCELAIN FIGURE GROUP, LATE 19TH C., H 12 1/2", W 8", 'ENVY':En suite with preceding figure group, modeled as a young man wooing a young woman, another woman, an allegory of Envy, is seated on a rock alongside, apparently weeping and shielding her eyes from the pair of lovers; marked in blue under glaze with crossed swords and incised F 49 (see additional photo). Measures H.12 1/2" x 8" x 5 1/4". From the collection of Dr. Marion Scott and Ann Scott, Grosse Pointe Shores.

Damage and restoration to the plumes on the hat of the standing woman, her right thumb is also damaged; the right hand of the seated woman is damaged as well as the basket--apparent in the several photos provided. Several pieces are available for repair.
