Pre-Columbian, Chupicuaro, Pre-Classic Mexico, circa 300 BCE to 100 BCE. This diminutive example depicts a seated figure wearing a large neck ornament and ear spools. The level of detail the ancient artisan was able to achieve at such a small scale on this example is remarkable. A great example of ancient art that is over 2000 years old. Size: 2.2" L (5.6 cm).
