Portion of a handwritten letter dated Oct. 17, 1877 and signed by Miller, clipped to fit the page, is affixed to the front free endpaper. Wear and soiling to cloth, rubbing at extremities, minor corner bumps, fraying at head and heel of spine; hinges cracked, pages yellowed; good. Boston: Roberts Bros, 1871. First American Edition.
• Complete Poetical Works. xix, [1], 330 pp. 22.5x15 cm (9x6"), maroon cloth with gilt design and spine. Inscribed by Miller on the front fly leaf. Most of the inscription is indecipherable, but it ends with "With love to John A. Jones [?], love, Joaquin Miller, SF Cal, Sept. 20, '98." A photograph of Miller is taped to the front paste-down page, another taped to the rear free endpaper, some newspaper clippings taped to rear paste-down page.
